Not quite BotP, but it's what BotP was based on.

Gatchaman, or, if you prefer, Science Ninja Team Gatchaman. I would've liked to have seen 7-Zark-7 in full CG glory, but I'll take what I can get, in this case.

It's not going to be easy to get their names right, though, this being Gatchaman and not Battle of the Planets.

Mark is Ken (why do the Japanese name so many characters "Ken"?), Jason is Joe, Keyop is Jinpei or some shit. Jun and Ryu (and Ryu, also?) stand in for Princess and Tiny.

And, of course, Zoltar's original name is the mildly anti-Semitic-sounding Katse Berg.

Still, Jason/Joe looked like he was being held prisoner when he was getting off of the transport with the rest of the team! I wonder why?
